How a Childhood Idea Turned Into Charlotte’s Go-To Spot for Real New York Bagels.
How It All Started 🥯
In 2017, a five-year-old named Nicholas had an idea—to open a family bagel shop. Growing up around his parents' transportation business in New Jersey, he saw what it meant to work hard and push through challenges. Though the family was busy at the time, the dream stayed alive. Years later, after moving to Charlotte for a slower pace of life, that idea came back. This time, the family decided to make it happen.
From New Jersey to Charlotte 🚗
After moving South, one thing was missing—bagels like the ones back home. That’s when the search began for the right place to bring real New York-style bagels to Charlotte. Out of three locations, Waverly felt right. It wasn’t the biggest, but it felt like home. That small spot at 7107 Waverly Walk Ave Suite A2 became Bagel Boys. The goal: serve true New York bagels with the warmth and welcome of the South.

Bagel Boys brings more than just bagels. It offers a mix of Northern flavor and Southern service, with menu favorites like fresh bagels and Philly cheesesteaks. Dine in, grab takeout, or order delivery—it’s all set up to make things easy. Catering is also available for groups and events. The dream behind Bagel Boys is to build something lasting for the next generation, and share that with the Charlotte community every day.
