About Us

In 2017, at the young age of 5, Nicholas approached his parents with an idea to open a family bagel store. He grew up in his family's transportation business so running a business was like cake (or in this instance, bagels!) to Nicholas! Not really tho.... his parents entrepreneurship instilled in him; that thru hard work comes great reward and thru all struggles, you persevere. It taught him that you can make anything happen if you want it bad enough! 

The bagel store idea was put on the back burner tho as the family was already tied down to their 24/7 business.

Fast forward 2.5 years... a second younger brother for Nicholas brought the family to reevaluate their fast paced lifestyle in New Jersey.. which ended them up right here in Charlotte, N.C.!

Without a place that offered bagels that tasted like the ones up North, Nicholas once again brought up the bagel store idea. The family briefly discussed it then (lucky for us all here!) decided to go full steam ahead, on the search for the perfect location! It was a big decision to choose the smallest of the 3 spots they looked at, but the place that felt 'like home' to the family, was Waverly! Falling in love with all that Waverly has to offer even before moving to the area.

Coming up with a name was the next big decision... but having three little boys with a love for bagels and wanting to pass the business down to them one day...

Bagel Boys was born!
